Warming weather and warming Water is producing great catches of Lake Texoma stripers.
As the water warms a little more the fish will really be getting active and trophy
striper fishing will be uoin us.
The birds will group up and schooling fish can produce
high numbers of serious stripers. I always pay attention to the birds
but unless they are really banging the water and squawking at each
other it could be bait without fish below them at this time of year. I
am amazed at the population of fish, because we catch big fish along
with the schooling box size fish.
The lake level is on the rise after the early spring rains. Winter
fishing on Texoma this past year was very good and spring is promising to
once again be the best time to land that beast you’ve been
hunting for.

Chris Carey
